OAHS senior Melissa Huff nominated for David Michael Reid Scholarship
Oxford Area High School senior Melissa Huff, daughter of Patty and Bryan Huff, was recently nominated by the high school staff for the David Michael Reid Foundation Scholarship, which is awarded annually to one Philadelphia area senior. The recipient will receive an annual full college scholarship, including tuition, board and books. Candidates are evaluated based on academic performance, financial need, participation in extracurricular activities and involvement in community and charitable endeavors. Melissa is a member of National Honor Society, the Helping Hands community service club, French club and the French Honor Society. She is secretary of the high school’s chapter of the LEOs Club of Lions International, a community service club sponsored locally by the Oxford Lions Club. Melissa was a member of the fall cheerleading team for the past three years. She has volunteered at Jennersville Regional Hospital for the past two summers. Melissa will attended Clemson University this fall where she will major in psychology. |
