Donald Bailey, Class of 1948 |

Mr. Bailey played varsity soccer, baseball and basketball. After graduating from OAHS he spent four years as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. Following his miltary service Mr. Bailey attended West Chester State Teachers College where he was captain of the soccer team and named a Second Team All-American. He went on to play semi-pro soccer for six years in the Baltimore-Washington League. |

For 24 years Mr. Bailey taught physical education at Pequea Valley High School and was the soccer coach for 20 years. He was inducted into the Pequea Valley Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001. |

Richard Farmer, Class of 1971 |

Richard earned six varsity letters while at OAHS, four in track and field and two in cross-country. In his senior year he was named team MVP in cross-country and was the top distance runner in track and field. After attending Millersville State College, Richard returned to OAHS to teach social studies and became coach of the girls' track and field team in 1976. During his 23 years as coach, the Hornets won three league championships and two district championships. Richard coached 49 girls who advanced to the state championships, earning 17 medals including a gold medal won by the 3,200-meter relay team in 1989. He retired from OAHS in 2010. |

At OAHS Bernie competed in football, baseball and wrestling, where his career record was 67-13-2 and his senior year record was 32-1. He helped lead the Hornets to league championshps in wrestling in 1978, 1979 and 1980. In 1980 Bernie was a district wrestling champion, placed second in the regional championships, qualified for the state championships and was named Southern Chester County League Wrestler of the Year. He was also named Defensive Player of the Year in football in his senior year. |

At OAHS, Leigh Ann earned four varsity letters in track and field and three in volleyball. She was a three-time team MVP in track and field and twice was named team MVP in volleyball. Leigh Ann qualified for the district track and field championshps in each of her four years at OAHS, and for the state championships in her sophomore, junior and senior years. She was district champion in the shot put in her sophomore, junior and senior years, and in the discus in her junior and senior years. Leigh Ann set OAHS records in the discus and shot put and still holds the shot put record. She set the Dallastown Invitational record for points earned in 1989. |

Mr. and Mrs. Hubley received special recognition on the Sports Wall of Fame for their longtime support of Oxford athletics. For many years they have been involved in the Oxford Golden Bears youth football program, maintaining the concession stand, working together in the office of treasurer, and serving on several committeees The Hubleys have donated trophies and uniforms to Oxford Area High School athleteic teams, and through their printing business have offered donated program printing for the Golden Bears end of season dinner and the Sports Wall of Fame Induction. |
